In class:

Tonight you'll have a chance to discuss your sketches and revise (if desired) for final project. You'll have time in class to work up your sketch to the final size. We'll discuss limited palettes and you will have the chance to experiment with limited palettes in the dry or water-based media of your choice. You'll also have the chance to experiment with using black or sepia washes to develop volume and adding color in solid blocks; in using light washes of watercolor or ink and building line and volume with pens or graphite; and in combining colored pencils with water-based paints.
