We'll look at your submissions and watch the slide presentation on some highlights of anatomical illustration
Reminder:
If you are planning to submit a final project and would like feedback on works in progress, please share your work tonight. Next week is already our final class!
FOR NEXT WEEK!
Please have a compass and straight edge ready for our drawing project next week.
I will show you how to work on toned paper using black and white media. It will be best to do this project using a solid colored object.
I will show you how to add a tone to water color or wet-media paper and use that to draw or paint on.
I will also demonstrate using a toned charcoal paper with black and white drawing materials.
The key to success is to identify the value (on the scale from dark to light) of your paper. Allow the tone of the paper to serve as the similar value on your object. Any values on the object that are darker than the paper should be indicated with the black pencil, and lighter with the white conte. Avoid blending the black and white media together.
Here are some of my instructional videos on using toned paper:
FIRST: develop a value scale on toned paper
next: Simple value study on toned paper
